Tonight's training cancelled

TIM DAN 13 - UNDER 13 v Gweilch/Ospreys

The North West Wales team travelled to Llanidloes on Weds (27th Oct) to take on the three Ospreys regions - Afan Nedd, Swansea and Bridgend.

In the first game North West Wales took on Afan Nedd, which is the Neath/Port Talbot area that brings together 32 rugby clubs in that area. The NWW team took the game by storm and ran in 6 tries - scored by Morgan Owen, Iwan Kyffin, Llion Jones, Rhys ap Gwyndaf, Andrew Ryan and Tom Jones, with 4 conversions by Emyr Court.

In the second game NWW took on Swansea district, the best of the Ospreys teams who beat NWW quite heavily last year, and showed how much they had improved as a team. For most of the game it was a very even contest, but one of the very quick Swansea wingers ran in two late tries for them to win 12-0.

Finally NWW played Bridgend district and although they lost 19-5 were very evenly matched through most of the game and actually finished the stronger, with a try by Morgan Owen.

Overall, a good performance from the NWW Under 13 team, who showed they are starting to really compete with the South Wales teams.

Presentation Evening

PRESENTATION EVENING

This is an invite to all the provincial U12,13 &U14 players, on Thursday 20th May at Caernarfon RFC there will be a presentation evening,

We will have a review of the season and a look into the next.

We we also be asking you the players to nominate your player of the season!

The evening will start at 7pm and last approx 90min, speeches,presentations and finish with food.

NWW U13 squad note:

1. There's a practice match at Bangor against their U14's next Thursday 25th Feb ko 6.30pm so please try and be there around 6pm so the coaches can get everyone out on the pitch ready to play by 6.30.

2. The next Match is on Sunday 28th Feb at Bangor against North East Wales U13's. I think ko will be 12 mid day as usual with U12s at 11.00 & U14s at 1.00 so please be there at 11am.

On Friday two of our provincial sides were in action against older opposition and gave a good display and will I'm sure learn from their game.

Happy new year to you all,

I hope you all have had a good break and are ready for some rugby ( weather depending)

For the U14,13,and U12 we have a game penciled in for Jan 31st against GC South @ Bro festiniog,

last year we thought it was a good idea to run all our operations from one venue, after reflecting on this I feel that we are asking too much from one club,

so I ask you all now to rack your brains and ask your clubs if they would help us?

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Bangor RFC for their help and understanding in our attempt to help raise the standard of rugby in our juniors.

we will still hopefully be using Bangor RFC but will try and spread the load to all our clubs in our region.
